FACT Bucks have just been informed that Flexible Breaks for Carers ended 31st March 2016 and any applications received after this date will not be processed. See below from Buckinghamshire County Council.

This joint initiative has been piloted between Buckinghamshire County Council and Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Groups since 2012. However, as a result of the current financial pressures we face, the difficult decision has been taken not to continue running this pilot.

We recognise the vital role that carer’s have in supporting vulnerable family members or friends and there are a number of ways in which carer’s can get support.

If carer’s have health concerns, they should be advised to make an appointment with their GP. For information on getting advice, guidance or support as a carer they can visit www.careadvicebuckinghamshire.org.
