The National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF) welcomes the publication of the Schools White Paper and the chance for families, Parent Carer Forums (PCFs) and partners to share their views on the Government’s proposals.

Families and professionals agree that the SEND system needs real change so children and young people can get the support they deserve. We know many parent carers have been waiting anxiously to understand what the reforms might mean in practice.

Over recent months, the NNPCF has been working closely with the Department for Education, NHS England and other national partners. Through roundtables, national events and direct meetings with Ministers, they’ve made sure the lived experience of parent carers is heard clearly.

As the consultation opens, the NNPCF will be gathering feedback from PCFs across the country to shape a strong, collective response. Their aim is simple: to help ensure reforms lead to better outcomes and a system families can trust.
