The Government’s ‘Pathways to work’ consultation is live.

It outlines the government’s proposals to reform the benefits system, to reduce economic inactivity and support individuals with health conditions or disabilities in accessing employment opportunities.

It has significant implications for many in receipt of Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments (PIP), and the stated cuts are likely to lead to increased poverty and dependence on the VCSE sector to fill the gaps.

This is now out for consultation, closing on 30 June. There is a series of public meetings, both in person and online. They want to hear from disabled people and their families and groups.
